Scottish Highland Cattle are the newest addition to our farm. They originated in the Western Isles and Highlands of Scotland. They are a hardy breed due to their native environment in the Scotland. This results in long hair and gives the breed it’s ability to endure cold winters.
Bulls can weigh up to 2,000 pounds and cows up to 1,200 pounds. Their milk generally has a very high butterfat content, and their meat is low in cholesterol and is regarded as being the highest quality.
